Heat 1 was run over 10 laps and was won on the last lap By Nick Smith driving the #51 car form #356 Anthony Filby. Good close racing between all the drivers out there in the first race and all the drivers got to grips with the track early on.

Heat 2 again run over 10 laps was led early on by #227 Sam Wainwright until the chasing pair of #85 Colin Moss and #51 Nick Smith over hauled Sam. Then with 3 laps to go Smith took up the running and cruised to his 2nd win of the day.

Meeting Final time and again the cars set a blistering pace
For most of the inaugural Final of the V8 Stock cars tour series it looked like Sam Wainwright would be the victor until the dying stages when he unfortunately caught one of the marker tyres and spun leaving the honours of being the first final winner to go to , # 356 Anthony Filby closely followed by Barrie Dodd in the #247 car. And 85 Colin Moss.

CHASE FOR THE GOLD In association with KINGPIN TYRES
As with all our meetings the last race of the day will be our Chase for the Gold Qualifiers, the points will culminate into the starting grid for the “Chase for the Gold”, at the last meeting of the season. The winner will be the driver who can carry the Gold Roof if they wish the following year.
Again 227 Sam Wainwright led the field of 7 cars away for the 12 laps race and was un-catchable. Nick Smith had a good battle with Colin and Brad Moss in the middle part of the race but just ran out of laps to catch the leader. Barrie Dodd finished this race a credible 3rd place in his revamped car which Is a credit to him and his team.

Round 2 of the V8 stock car tour with special guest the Heritage cars from the 80’s and 90’s.
Again, another fantastic day on Bank Holiday Monday as the weather was perfect. Only 5 V8 cars in the pits today as the 2 long distance travelers had prior commitments.
Heat 1 was again a quick affair with the added cars and noise from the Heritage cars the pits emptied of people when the sound of V8’s echoed through the air. Nick Smith spared no time in this heat forcing his way into the lead and then set about hunting down the Heritage cars and getting in and among them as well. The two groups of cars were evenly paced, and all the drivers really put on a good show.

Heat 2 was much of the same as the drivers started to really get to grips with the changing driving surface. And again, it was Nick Smith who ran out the victor, Having a mid-race battle with Garry Tresselar in the immaculate Darkie Wright replica car. Colin Moss and Sam Wainwright again battled for the runners up spot only for Sam to come unstuck with a lap to go. Garry Adnitt also was starting to show more confidence in his car and was starting to get quicker and quicker.

When the meeting Final came around the excitement was to see if Nick Smith could continue his form, but as the race started Colin Moss made sure that the 51 car didn’t get it all his own way. Half spinning the Smith car into turn 1 and slowing up his progress. This left Sam Wainwright to drive a very mature race and with the speed he showed there was to be no catching the 227 car in the final. A very well-deserved win after coming so close to winning the final the day before.

The chase for the gold qualifier was the last race of the day although the 51 car was again the class of the field. Colin Moss kept him honest the whole race until the last lap when a slight error allowed the 85 car through into the lead and home for the win. Followed by Sam Wainwright into 2nd and to take an early lead in the Chase for the gold.

Rounds 3 and 4 of the Kingpin Tyres sponsored V8 stock cars tour took place on the 4th and 5th of May at the fantastic Ringwood Raceway situated in the picturesque New Forest on the outskirts of Bournemouth. Big Motor, Open wheeled stock cars hadn’t graced the souths fasted raceway for over a decade and the Tour was made to feel very welcome.
The meeting was also sponsored by J.R Motors of Poole in Dorset
Heat 1 was run over 10 laps and was won by the #85 Colin Moss, although it was a very close race between 98 Peter Scott and Colin Moss all the way through the race. Colin used his bumper to move the 98 car over and drive to a well-earned victory.

Heat 2 again run over 10 laps was led early on by #12 Paul Wainwright until the chasing #85 Colin Moss over hauled Paul. The 85 car was the class of the field in this race stretching his lead to the length of the straight very quickly and didn’t look in any danger. the race for 2ndwas a very close battle between 98 Peter Scott and 15 Brad Moss, the place was swapped a couple of times before the end of the race and 98 coming home second. A couple of the drivers were finding the New Kingpin tyre had thrown them a curve ball tonight and car set up were going to need to be adjusted to get the best out of the cars.

Meeting Final time and again the cars set a blistering pace
247 Barrie Dodd quickly moved up into the lead of the final chased by Paul Wainwright in the 12 car. The !5 Car of Brad Moss was the first to challenge the leader and soon took up the race lead followed by the hard chasing 85 Colin Moss. Keen to continue his wining form Colin set about the 15 car with some strong bumper work and moved into the lead. Peter Scott in the 98 had now moved into 3rd at half distance and was now chasing down the lead pair. Brad Moss in the 15 car looked to be making a strong challenge for the win until 3 laps to go when his car started to dip in performance. Peter Scott moved past Moss on the final turn to claim second.

CHASE FOR THE GOLD
As with all our meetings the last race of the day will be our Chase for the Gold Qualifiers, the points will culminate into the starting grid for the “Chase for the Gold”, at the last meeting of the season. The winner will be the driver who can carry the Gold Roof if they wish the following year.
As the flood lights came on, the racing always looks faster, and the last race of the night did not disappoint. The Moss cars 85 and 15 started the race as they meant to carry on by clashing into turn one of lap one. Whilst up the front 12 Paul Wainwright and 247 Barrie Dodd battled to see who would take the early lead. Going into turn 1 for the third time 247 Dodd hit the front just as the others all seemed to get there at the same time. going down the back straight all five cars were together. 85 Moss then passed the 15 car round the outside and the contact action started all over again. Peter Scott broke from the pack and looked in control as the 85 car hunted the leader down. As the 15 car and the 247 car battled it out for third.

Heat 1 was run over 10 laps and was won by the 98 Peter Scott, The drivers seemed to have figured out the grip and chassis set ups overnight and this meant that the field of cars were more evenly matched than the night before. After an early battle for the lead between Wainwright and Dodd it was Peter Scott who moved to the front of the field. While the two Moss cars battled for 4th and 5th. As the raced moved into the closing stages the 98 machine moved clear of the rest as they battled amongst themselves.

Heat 2 again run over 10 laps was led early on by #12 Paul Wainwright until the chasing #247 Barrie Dodd over hauled Paul. Closely followed by the 98 car. It wasn’t long until the 98 hit the front with the 15 car of Brad Moss in pursuit. All eyes were on the exciting battle between dodd and 85 Moss as they swapped paint work and traded blows lap after lap. As the race wound to a finish. Brad Moss in the 15 car slowly reeled in the Flying Scott but run out of laps to make a serious challenge.

Meeting Final time and again the cars set a blistering pace
Paul Wainwright again took up the lead from the green flag and was quickly passed by the much-improved Barrie Dodd, But again it was the Man of the moment 98 Peter Scott who made this race his own. Colin Moss challenged hard all race but couldn’t make enough contact to displace the race leader.

CHASE FOR THE GOLD
Early drama in this race as the 85 car pulled off before the start with a flat battery. On lap 2 the race was halted as the 247 car and the 12 car became entwined with each other. On the re-start it the 12 car that made the early running as the 98 car and the 15 car chased down the lead 2. As Peter Scott made his way into the lead Barrie Dodd set about moving into 2nd place and after a few laps and riding out some hits from the 15 car assumed the 2nd position until the end of the race.

V8 tour Ringwood raceway
The V8 Stock cars tour featured as part of the "outlaw Overload" meeting at Trent raceway on the 19th of May 2019. Another new track for all the drivers in attendance and another new challenge. The track is grass routes motorsport as the dirt surface throws up challenges like no other venue we have visited so far.
But the racing was fast and the action captured the imagination of the spectators. Trent really is a fantastic little track and i urge everyone to maker the effort to visit.

With only 4 drivers managing to make the long trip North to race alongside the Heritage cars it was a quite meeting for the V8 tour. Both Heat races and the Chase for the Gold were won by 356 Anthony Filby, Who is in a rich vein of form currently.
The Final however did not go all his way as Brad Moss in the 15 car headed the field home first moving himself to the top of the points chart.

Brampton Raceway played host to round 7 of the Kingpin tyres sponsored V8 Stock cars tour.
It was fantastic to see the return of Garry Adnit again at Brampton and the series was also joined by a new driver in Matt Smith driving the 81 car.
The day belonged to Sam Wainwright who ran out victorious taking a maximum points haul.
Also it was nice to see Sams' car has had a re-fresh and is looking a credit to both him and his team.

The star drivers of the V8 stock cars tour congregated at Ringwood raceway for the first of 3 meeting in a row at the Dorset venue. We were also joined by new driver Carl Mustchin and Making his Dorset Debut also was Anthony Filby.
Heat 1 started with close battle for the lead between Barrie Dodd, Sam Wainwright and Brad Moss. until the 15 car Of Moss slowed with a Puncture allowing the 51 car of NIck Smith to take up the lead. Where he stayed until the chequers flew at the end of the race. last lap drama as both Scott and Filby spun in turns 1 and 2 and then proceeded to light em up and smoke the Kingpin Alpin tyres the length of the straight leaving the crowd cheering !.
Heat 2 was a slightly different story as this time it was Peter Scott in the 98 car who stormed throught the field and into the lead, the Highlight of this race was the battle for third between Dodd, Wainwright and this time Colin Moss.
In the feature final it looked like the race was going to be a hard fraught battle as all the drivers entered lap 5 and turns 1 and 2 all at the same time. Brad Moss entered the bend in 4th, with some bumper usage exited in 1st . Smith and Dodd then tangled a couple more times resulting in spinning cars and both there chances of a race win disappearing. Peter Scott took up the challange of hunting down the 15 car of Brad Moss . As the laps run down there was to be only one winner and Brad Moss took the win.
The Chase for the Gold was a more sedate affair with Nick Smith claiming his second win of the evening. With Anthiny Filby 356, getting to grips with the Dorset raceway and getting his best results of the day in Second.

Day 1 of the Ringwood Speed weekend and another action packed night under the lights for the Kingpin tyres V8 stock cars tour. The series was joined for the first time by number 89 Bryan Scott , Who unveiled his brand new home built machine. another spectacular looking car in the series. ( pictures below )
Heat 1 was the start of a evening of dominance by the 85 car of Colin Moss. after eventually overhauling the long time lead Barrie Dodd Colin cruised to victory. Dodd was forced to settle for 3rd place in the closing stages but had his car going the best it has done all year.
Heat 2 was much the same but the unfortunate news from the pit area was Anthony Filby had electrical issues that ended his weekend. Again the 85 car of Colin Moss romped to victory but this time it was Chris Cartledge who put up the biggest challenge.
The last race of the evening doubled up as both the meeting Final and the Chase for the Gold Qualifier. This race looked to be the best of the evening and the cars were getting quicker and quicker. 85 Moss took the win again making it 3 from 3. Barrie Dodd and Brad Moss swapped places 3 or 4 times in the closing stages with Dodd securing 2nd on the last lap. Moss went for the last bend hit but Dodd held on to the line.

Day 2 of the Speed weekend and the teams prepared to carry on where they left off the day before. Anthony Filby was unfortunately unable to race due to the previous days electrical issues. But the series was joined for the first time by Southampton based racer Dave Murphy in the 419 car.
The day began with a repeat of the day before . Colin Moss in the 85 machine coming through the field of cars showing great pace and balance. taking the lead by Barrie Dodd in the closing stages and seeing out the last couple of laps safely.
Heat 2 however was a different affair as Chris Cartledge in the 167 car who had been slowly growing in confidence over the weekend made a break for it. and driving with a cool head was unchallenged all the way to victory. This was Chris' first win in the series and very well deserved.
The Final doubled up as the Chase for the Gold race again today and this was once again won by #85 Colin Moss . another impeccable drive and didn't look likely to be challenged at all in this one. Chris Cartledge came under pressure for 2nd towards the end of the race from the new comer Dave Murphy but in the end Chris had enough in the tank to keep Dave behind him.

The Sun was out ! , the crowd were queued down the road ! so after an hour delay the 6 drivers who had ventured to the most Northern stop on the tour commenced battle for supremacy.
Heat 1 saw a race long battle between Sam Wainwright who was making his debut at the Barford Raceway and last times final winner Anthony Filby. Sam eventually showed his speed and took the win whilst Anthony had to retire the 356 machine with front wheel damage. It was great to see another NEW driver on the Kingpin Tyres V8 stock cars tour in 348 Dave Williamson.
Heat two was much of the same with Wainwright taking the victory.
the Final started with a fury of bumper hits and action . The Tour points leader Colin Moss' car coming off the worst as he and Brad Moss had a coming together into turns 3 ending Colin's chances of victory. Again up front it was the Wainwright and Filby show , But this time it was the Beast from the East Anthony Filby who took the flag and completing a 100% final victory percentage at Barford raceway in 2019.
The chase for the gold was also Won by Sam Wainwright who made it 3 wins from 4 for the day.

The teams and drivers from the V8 stock cars tour visited Trent Raceway for the second and last time in 2019. Heat 1 kicked off with a early altercation between 356 and 85 ending Anthony Filby's 356 race. the 85 car of Colin Moss then hunted down the long time race leader 348 Dave Williamson and . Moss took the lead with a lap to go.
Heat 2 was a flag to flag victory for 348 Dave Williamson taking the victory in his 2nd meeting on the tour. The chase was lead by 227 Sam Wainwright who was the fastest man on dirt again in this meeting . the Moss cars of 85 Colin Moss and 15 Brad Moss battled out side by side for the last 5 laps with 85 claiming 3rd at the flag.
The final race doubled as the Kingpin tyres meeting final and the Chase 4 the gold round.
A very fast race lead by 348 Dave Williamson at the beginning until 227 Sam Wainwright closed him down and took to the front. the drivers managed the track surface and the race very well as the challenge for the drivers was to keep the cars going the right way. Wainwright was first to cross the line and proved he is the fastest man on dirt as we move to the final 3 rounds of the series.

The Kingpin tyres V8 stock cars tour visits Brampton raceway for the last time before the Chase for the Gold championship round in October, 5 teams took up the opportunity to claim some points towards the championship grid and also tailor their race cars to the track one last time.
new from the pits today was that the 15 car of Brad Moss was to be driven by Chris Cartledge.
Just at the beginning of the meeting the teams were met with the first wet meeting of the season. the track surface became the biggest challenge for the drivers and it was Barrie Dodd driving his 247 machine that dealt with the conditions very efficiently and slipped, slid and powered his way to his first win on the V8 Tour.
Heat 2 went the way of Sam Wainwright who was followed closely across the line by the points leader 85 Colin Moss.
The Final race of the day doubled up as the Chase for the Gold qualifier and the Feature final and again was won by Barrie Dodd. 348 Dave Williamson continued some good form by finishing 2nd on his first visit to the cow field .
